Description of Appalachian Fall

This painting is about as abstract as I get.  It was inspired by a photo taken across a New England valley in the Appalachians showing the opposite hillside blanketed by trees displaying their fall foliage.  I really think this picture is more post-impressionist (think Cezanne or, maybe, van Gogh rather than Chagall or Picasso.)  What do you think?  TO
