Elephant at Water Hole

After a brief detour back to landscapes in an effort to capture the beauty and energy of Crabtree Falls, I am back to the animal “portraits.”  Up first is this watercolor of an African elephant who is leaving no doubt as to who controls this waterhole.  This is another of my “thumbnail sketches” with the added feature of my use of India ink to add in the wrinkled skin of this pachyderm.  TO
