Rudee Inlet Sunrise

For 62 years, my family has vacationed at our family vacation home in the Croatan section of Virginia Beach.  That tradition has come to its end with my mother’s passing, and now we are looking forward to creating new memories as we vacation this year in the OBX for the first time.  I couldn’t close the book on Croatan without one final painting.  This picture is of the iconic Rudee Inlet which separates Croatan from the main oceanfront.  The view is from the parking lot at the north end of South Atlantic Ave. which overlooks the south jetty of the inlet.  I hope you enjoy the painting and thanks for indulging my reminisces.
