Stretch Run

There is just something about horses which makes me want to sketch, draw, and paint them.  As you can see from my paintings and other artwork, I have often given into that urge.  After a bit of a foray in the world of polo, I return to the “sport of kings” (horse racing) with this painting of 4 horses essentially abreast as they head for home down the stretch.  I have been tending toward watercolors as my medium of choice lately, and this painting is no exception.  I like the informality of the medium which fits my thinking these days.  Whatever the medium of the day, I trust that my love affair of all things equine will continue.
