Description of Sunset over the Sound

This past summer, the family vacationed in the Outer Banks, which offered some prime photo ops.  One evening after dinner, we set out for a location on Pamlico Sound whic we had previously scouted so the shutter bugs in the group could click off some shots of the sun setting over the Sound.  My daughter made her photos available to me for reference work, and I selected one which featured a gnarled live oak tree whose twisted branches bore testimony to the force of the winds to which the tree was exposed.  My daughter shot a picture of the sun which had dropped into the clouds when it began to set, but was coming back into the clear at the bottom of the cloud bank when she hit the shutter.  The shot was taken throught thebranches of that live oak which, I think gives the picture more interest.  Anyway, I am happy with the painting, and I hope it gives the viewer some pleasure as well.  TO
